- Practical experience with MS Office, Google Classroom, and other software.
- Dedication, patience, and the ability to remain flexible in various situations.
- The ability to answer sensitive questions and create an environment where everyone’s opinions are respected.

North American International School is searching for a capable and trustworthy primary homeroom teacher to join our team of educators. Employee responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing engaging, differentiated lesson plans and curricula, based on California State Standards and NGSS, collaborating with teachers, providing timely and meaningful feedback on student assessments, and addressing student performance issues. Potential candidates should be able to teach students from varied cultural backgrounds and be able to create lessons that adapt to various levels of learning within the classroom.
PrimaryHomeroom Teacher Responsibilities
- Primary Teaching Responsibility:
As a homeroom teacher, this candidate would teach Math, Science, English, and Social Studies in a small classroom (18‑20 students) and manage one classroom assistant. - Designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to national and school guidelines.
- Analyzing MAP data to adapt students’ results to their learning to increase students’ MAP scores.
- Drawing up suitable assessments and delivering helpful feedback to students, parents, and other teachers.
- Establishing classroom environments and activities that ensure all students achieve the standards-based objectives.
- Providing extra resources, support, and interventions for students who are struggling to attain the standards presented.
- Assessing students and providing feedback that offers a roadmap toward improvement, updating records, and handling various administrative tasks.
- Creating an inquiry-based learning environment.
- Participating in other school activities and regularly communicating with parents.
