About YouWe are seeking an exceptional and inspirational Head of Faculty – Mathematics Faculty to lead our department and drive excellence across all key stages. This is a teaching & middle leadership role, and the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active teaching commitment, including the ability to deliver A Level Mathematics to a high standard.
We Are Looking For Certain Qualities- The candidate should be dynamic, enthusiastic, and well‑qualified, holding at minimum a
B.Ed. or a B.A. with a PGCE in Mathematics along with QTS. - Have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning, including experience teaching A Level Mathematics with strong student outcomes.
- Demonstrate the ability to balance strategic leadership with an active teaching timetable, modelling outstanding classroom practice.
- Provide clear strategic direction for the mathematics faculty, ensuring high‑quality teaching, learning, and achievement across all phases.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Maths teachers, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing, and accountable culture.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the sharing of best practice and innovation within the department.
- Embody a growth mindset, being reflective, adaptable, and solution‑focused.
- Be creative, enthusiastic, and forward‑thinking, with the ability to inspire both students and staff.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, building strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Use data and assessment effectively to inform decision‑making, raise attainment, and improve student progress.
