Overview
Training Plans and delivers training to EGA employees in respective operation areas and coordinates with Area Supervisors to assess training needs and delivery schedule.
Verifies the effectiveness of training through surveys, one‑to‑one interviews with customers and trainees and comparing programs to standards set by accreditation bodies.
Responsibilities- Controls and monitors trainees’ absenteeism, performance and discipline according to EGA policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with Operations personnel to follow up on employee progress and behavior.
- Prepares technical documents, texts, presentations and hand‑outs for plant employees assigned to training courses or on‑the‑job training.
- Updates trainee profiles and manages document control procedures.
- Develops and updates training procedures and materials to reflect the latest process, equipment and technological changes, including writing training specifications, task analyses, assessments and questionnaires.
- Ensures compliance of training programs, trainees and facilities with EGA EHSFS standards, ISO, and accreditation criteria (C G and ILM).
- Holds meetings with trainees, mentors and departmental line supervisors as required.
- Completes progress reports and communicates academic, technical and on‑the‑job training achievements to departmental management in accordance with ISO
9001 and
29990. - Assists in the development of program content and assessment criteria to meet specific departmental and external body requirements, ensuring consistent content, timescale, numbering and format per ISO standards.
- Performs other duties as required by the department.
- High School diploma or approved certificate.
- +7 years of experience in relevant field.
- UAE driving licence for light vehicles and light and heavy mechanical equipment (Cat7 or8) is preferable.
- Relevant recognised certificate or other qualification in design and delivery of training.
- 2–3 years of experience with operational processes.
- Strong technical training skills.
- Conversant in technical skills required for aluminium smelters across all departments and/or power plants.
- Ability to guide team in OEM training processes during project phases.
- Conversant with skills required for craft training in Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation areas.
- Excellent written and spoken English, coaching and counselling skills.
- Problem‑solving, teamwork and leadership abilities.
- People‑management, coaching, counselling and networking skills to build relationships, influence and inspire trust.
