Position Overview
The school, long established in Dubai, is looking for a Secondary Design and Technology Teacher with a strong background in Computer Science. The role starts in August 2026. The contract is a local hire contract with salary only, suitable for candidates who already have accommodation and sponsorship in Dubai. The monthly gross salary ranges from AED 8,000 to AED 14,000, tax‑free.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe teacher will deliver a curriculum that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and personal growth. Students will be guided through inquiry‑based, student‑centred experiences that foster creativity, leadership and well‑being. The role also involves supporting the International Baccalaureate (IB) approach and contributing to a vibrant multicultural learning community.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject specialization.
- Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school.
- Experience or familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is strongly preferred.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to use inquiry‑based and student‑centred teaching approaches.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues, students and parents.
