Salary: AED 245,640 – 270,500 per annum including housing allowance (Depending on Experience)

FTE & working pattern: Full-time (1

Overview

Edinburgh Business School (EBS) Dubai is expanding and seeks an enthusiastic and ambitious colleague to join as a Provost Fellow. Through a two‑year fellowship program, the Fellow will develop teaching and research skills, working within the Management Department and academic teams.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake teaching and assessment duties for undergraduate students, including team teaching for early‑career academics.

Contribute to content, design and delivery of the curriculum of courses.

Deliver online classes to students.

Support accreditation processes.

Provide pastoral support and refer students for further assistance.

Keep up-to-date with research developments.

Build and conduct research in one or more of the School’s research areas.

Identify and apply for research grants.

Collaborate with colleagues in the UK, other campuses, and external networks.

Support Open Days and other student recruitment events.

Undertake continuous professional development and participate in staff development activities.

Support and Development

Teaching workshops covering: teaching skills, using technology in the workplace, understanding levels of study, engaging students, assessment methods, peer review, and observation.
Research support including: research mentor allocation, publication plan, writing for publication, funding applications, seminars/workshops, networking, and annual conference funding for peer‑reviewed paper delivery.

Education & Qualifications

PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. (Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university required).
Fluent verbal and written English.
Experience working in culturally diverse teams.

Desirable

Member of an appropriate professional body.
Experience in delivering teaching to undergraduate students.
Associate member of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Experience maintaining and developing industry links.
Currently based in the UAE.
