Job Summary

We are seeking a results‑driven, technically skilled, and client‑focused professional to join our organisation as an Industrial Automation IIOT Engineer. Key Responsibilities – IIOT Solutions, Technical Support, and Client Relationship Management
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to design, develop, and implement IIOT and automation solutions that address client business requirements.
  • Act as a technical consultant to clients, providing pre‑sales support, conducting site assessments, and identifying tailored IIOT offerings that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and value of our automation solutions.
  • Assist with technical proposal development, ensuring solutions clearly align with client needs and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering colleagues to develop project documentation, technical specifications, and detailed system integration plans.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring accurate transfer of knowledge and information at all project phases.
  • Proactively monitor project progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in industrial automation and IIOT technologies, sharing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Skills – Selling Skills, Technical Knowledge, and Communication in Automation and IIOT
  • Demonstrated ability to sell technical solutions, identify business opportunities, and develop trust with prospective and existing clients.
  • Excellent understanding of industrial automation systems, IIOT platforms, protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA), and related technologies.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong documentation skills, capable of preparing technical proposals, system diagrams, and project reports.
  • Collaboration and organisational ability, managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Desirable Traits – Problem Solving and Solution Orientation in IIOT Engineering
  • Innovative problem‑solver, able to analyse technical challenges and devise practical, value‑driven solutions.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated, demonstrating initiative and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Detail‑oriented with a structured approach to diagnosing and troubleshooting automation and connectivity issues.
Qualifications & Experience – Industrial Automation, IIOT, and Technical Sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial automation, IIOT engineering, or a relevant technical sales/support role.
  • Hands‑on experience with PLCs, SCADA, HMI, industrial networks, and IIOT platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cyber security considerations in industrial automation environments is an advantage.
