Senior Engineer - FJC (Field Joint Coating) at McDermott International, Ltd
The role requires hands‑on experience in the following areas:
- Field Joint Coating, automatic blasting
- IMPU (Injected Molded Poly Urethane)
- IMPP (Injected Molded Poly Propylene)
- Coating production
- Induction heating, FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy)
- HSS (Heat Shrink Sleeve)
- Offshore pipeline installation (S‑lay & J‑lay)
- Assist in selecting anti‑corrosion coatings and thermal insulation materials under guidance, ensuring compliance with project standards.
- Support preparation of basic engineering documents such as specifications, reports, and simple calculations for Pre‑FEED/FEED phases.
- Help review vendor and subcontractor submissions, participate in bid clarifications, and maintain documentation.
- Provide on‑site support for Field Joint Coating (FJC) activities, including equipment setup and basic operational tasks.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams for material handling and ensure timely delivery of coating‑related items.
- Contribute to project meetings and risk assessments, assisting senior engineers with technical inputs and progress reporting.
- Engineering Degree
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in FJC (Field Joint Coating) activities
- Ability to work well and support other team members
- Willingness to relocate to Jebel Ali
- Organized and detail‑oriented
- Proficiency in Field Joint Coating, automatic blasting, induction heating, FBE, HSS, IMPU, IMPP, coating production, and offshore pipeline installation (S‑lay & J‑lay)
