Lead Project Engineer; Marine - EOI

Wood is recruiting for a Lead Project Engineer (Marine) to join its UAE Business Unit focusing on supporting delivery of engineering excellence in their assigned project(s) for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Dubai, UAE.

This role is a full-time office-based role in Dubai, UAE with travel requirement.

• ISCED Level 6 Bachelor’s (minimum) degree or Level 7 Masters (preferred) in an engineering discipline
• Professional Engineer or engineering chartership preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent qualification preferred

• Incumbents typically require significant (10 years+) broad relevant industry project execution experience, preferably with construction site experience
• Deep understanding of technical work scopes and commercial aspects of projects
• Able to use conditions of contract to support decisions on schedules, key milestones and change management.
• Has good working and application knowledge of specifications and standards;
• Extensive experience in delivering to internal customers, including other Engineering disciplines
• Familiar with change management practices and able to robustly manage change
• Has an expert knowledge of standards, procedures and work practices; follows project execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution
• Expert ability in application of the procedures and work practices which define and govern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables
• Able to lead Project Engineering team; able to manage between Engineering Discipline Groups
• Good communicator in leading work effort; motivates team; strong positive and active in solutions and proactive attitude
• Competent at managing technical matters and interfaces with Third Parties
• Able to manage and enhance performance and build effective teams

• Has focus on customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers and actively seeks feedback.
