Civil Engineer shall be responsible for maintaining buildings, civil structures, building envelope, architectural elements and interiors along with its ancillary and associated systems
Key Responsibilities- Plan, design, and manage small to medium-scale civil works, renovations, and refurbishment projects.
- Prepare scopes of work, technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of assets, drawings, inspection reports, and maintenance histories.
- Support preventative and corrective maintenance programs for civil infrastructure.
- Assist with audits, risk assessments, and regulatory inspections.
- Review drawings, Method Statements, Risk Assessment and other technical documents, to provide recommendations
- Perform site inspections to monitor the condition of infrastructure and identify maintenance needs.
- Develop budgets for maintenance and renovation projects, including cost estimates materials, labor, and equipment. Monitor project expenses to ensure they stay within budget constraints.
- Analyse and recommend cost effective and cost saving measures related to Civil works.
- Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities.
- Able to collaborate with architects and contractors to design and oversee the construction of structural systems within facilities. This includes foundations, walls, roofs, and other load-bearing elements.
- To contribute to transportation systems within facilities, such as roads, bridges, and walkways.
- To ensure that existing infrastructure remains in good working order. This involves assessing structural integrity, identifying maintenance needs, and implementing necessary repairs or upgrades.
- To manage energy consumption, safety processes, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- To analyze operational processes and resource allocation as part of responsibility. Able to recommend and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Able to carry-out budgetary responsibilities related to optimizing operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience preferably in FM industry
- Proven experience in civil engineering, with specific experience in facilities management preferred.
- Familiar with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
