Site Engineer - Piping

Responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely execution of piping fabrication, erection, testing, and pre-commissioning activities on site. The role ensures piping works are delivered in compliance with project schedule, quality, cost, and HSE requirements while coordinating closely with subcontractors and internal teams.

• Supervise piping fabrication, erection, testing, and pre-commissioning activities on site.
• Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies, Permit-to-Work systems, and safety standards.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety walks, and actively promote a strong HSE culture.
• Enforce piping-specific Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to achieve “first-time-right” quality.
• Supervise fit-up, welding, NDE, hydrotesting, reinstatement, and system handover activities.
• Prepare and control daily and weekly look-ahead plans; ensure workfront readiness.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, engineering, material control, and warehouse teams.
• Verify material availability and traceability using systems such as SPMAT / MARIAN

• Monitor manpower, equipment, and productivity; report progress and delays with corrective actions.
• Support hydrotesting and pre-commissioning activities including flushing, cleaning, drying, and reinstatement.
• Ensure proper documentation, weld traceability, red‑line mark‑ups, and punch closure.
• Supervise subcontractor performance and manage direct labor where applicable.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in onshore Oil & Gas / Petrochemical construction.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of piping construction, welding, testing, and pre‑commissioning.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8, API standards, and client specifications.
• Experience with material control and traceability systems (
  SPMAT / MARIAN preferred).
• Good understanding of HSE, Permit‑to‑Work, and quality systems.
