Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior QS Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of projects by providing accurate and timely cost estimates and cost control measures.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Delivery:

• Experience in all facets of quantity surveying including:
  • Cost Planning
  • Quantity Take-Off
  • Preparation of Bills of Quantities in CESMM format
  • Estimating
  • Tender and Contract Document Production
  • Report Writing
  • Claim Evaluation/Negotiation
  • General Post Contract Administration
  • Valuation of Variations
  • Agreement of new rates
  • Taking Over Certificates and Defects Liability
• Assist the Project Manager on commercial matters
• Assist in the preparation, submission, and agreement of interim payment applications to maximize the companys cashflow
• Coordinate to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
• General commercial management of sub-contractors
• Accurate and efficient measurement and identification of variations
• Production and agreement of final accounts and any additional cost claims
• Placement of subcontract order and agreement of subcontract final accounts
• Ensure that income from interim applications Is received on time
• Coordinate to ensure financial report is issued accurately in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• UAE National
• 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost estimating, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost estimating software
  
  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
