About the jobStantec is looking to hire a Structural Civil Engineer for a Sewage Treatment Plant in Dubai. This role involves a project where the local authority requires rehabilitation of an existing STP to enable it to perform at its highest possible efficiency and extend the plant to receive and treat up to around 435,000 m3/day.
The selected candidate will have extensive experience working in local sewage treatment plant facilities and a proven ability to manage and supervise construction works and optimize the operation process within the existing STP per the specification.
Key tasks include rehabilitation/repairing of civil works, extension of the plant to around 175,000 m3/day, and rehabilitation of existing 260,000 m3/day STP.
Qualifications- Relevant degree from a recognized university.
- Not less than 15 years of experience in design, construction, and supervision of concrete structures within sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, sewer pipelines, etc.
- Full knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in Dubai.
- Experience with repair works of concrete structures, retaining structures, pipelines, sewers, manholes, VC, WO, AV, connection chambers, pumping stations, and non-disruptive road crossings.
- Experience in design of infrastructure works.
- Experience in dealing with emergency works, public coordination with Dubai Municipality and other infrastructure authorities.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera P3.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Capacity to make decisions.
