Design Coordinator, Acoustics

Overview

We are looking for a Design Coordinator for our office in Dubai. Who are passionate, detailed oriented and can manage project deliverables.

About The Job

You will be a part of all phases in our projects from providing design support and sales identification through to the estimation, specification review, drawings, submittals and lastly invoicing the client.

• Review and analysis of tender material to estimate constructability and the relevance for applying our acoustic products and services.
• Drafting of preliminary drawings to final production drawings to deliver high quality products and services.
• Complete cost and preliminary estimates for various works.
• Participate in preparing quotes for tenders.
• Prepare and submit correspondence, inquiries and request for information and quotations, technical submittals, cost proposals, estimates and arrange all project documents and drawings.
• Prepare schematic design drawings and final shop drawings for submittals.
• Managing the project file system and logging documents in the system.
• Communicating with clients and contractors throughout the project estimation and submittals.
• Prepare compliance statements to project specs, do material submittals for projects.
• Prepare final quotations for projects in tender and finalization stage.

You have a construction-related background combined with at least 1-2 years of experience within commercial projects and qualifications in Engineering.

Furthermore, you:

• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English, additional languages seen as a positive.
• Can produce design and technical drawings.
• Can produce calculations and technical submittal.
• Have knowledge and understanding of the construction process from sales to project win.
• Have experience in preparing a brief and design documentation.
• Have knowledge of design, technical specifications and their implementation.
• Have good communication skills and are a team player.
• Are detail oriented.
• Have great coordination skills and can coordinate between different project phases.
• Working with Autodesk programs – AutoCAD & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) is a must.
• CRM Software or similar software knowledge is a must.
