Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QHSE Assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong coordination mindset and hands‑on experience in audits, documentation, and vessel compliance.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update the delegated operational plan for the designation
- Conduct audits on vessels as per the Audit plan & follow ups
- Co-ordinate with Vessels/Office Departments to Conduct timely Internal Audits
- Communicate corrective actions taken for all QHSE external audit/inspection findings
- Follow up with Vessels/Departments to close out all QHSE internal findings
- Support to other Astro Departments during audits of Astro suppliers, Service Providers
- Responsible for maintaining-updating QHSE documents, circulars in PAL
- Update PAL for any updated Certificates issued for ISM-ISPS-MLC-CSR
- Support:
Monthly QHSE data, documents by vessels:
Co-ordinate with vessels - Support-Edit, format QHSE/ ISM / ISO documentation including manuals
- Update vessel specific manuals such as SOPEP, SSP, etc. as required
- Provide QHSE documents-Hard/Soft copies to new vessel, during vessel takeover
- Obtaining ISM-ISPS, MLC, CSR related certifications, approvals for new vessel, takeovers
- Co-ordinate with agents, travel to organise QHSE auditor, inspector onboarding
- Co-ordinate with external service providers:
Mariapps, etc. - Responsible for Online/In Office induction to new crew/staff members
- Conduct HSE training, awareness on vessels during routine visits, incl. Campaigns
- Responsible for organizing, compiling QHSE docs for External Party submission
- Assist QHSE Manager, QHSE Superintendent with other QHSE tasks as required
- Minimum 1 year Experience in Marine/Offshore/ QHSE Shore based position.
- Valid UAE Driving License
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Good with Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Excellent documentation and record keeping skills
- Strong coordination, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Minimum Degree or Diploma
- As per the latest National regulations and/or client requirements.
