We are looking to hire a Senior Site Engineer who will be responsible for supervising cargo infrastructure projects, ensuring design compliance, and enforcing HSE and QA/QC standards for our client based in Dubai – which is one of the largest companies in the region.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 10 months and is renewable.
We are looking for a passionate Senior Site Engineer about ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality project execution. You should also have experience in construction quality management, HSE oversight, and technical coordination within large infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved method statements, risk assessments, and specifications.
- Perform and document design compliance checks in line with the company standards and regulatory codes.
- Conduct site safety audits and enforce HSE Management Plan and safe work practices.
- Validate construction works against approved IFC drawings and liaise with consultants for clarifications.
- Act as the focal point for site-related queries and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
- Facilitate stamped approvals and technical resolutions.
- Provide daily and weekly progress reports, highlighting risks, delays, and mitigation measures.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and escalation records.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- IOSH qualification or equivalent certification.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
- Strong experience in construction quality management and/or HSE.
- Site supervision and inspection expertise.
- Strong understanding of HSE principles and risk management.
- Knowledge of QA/QC inspection protocols and material testing.
- Familiarity with Dubai Building Code and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.
- Experience in technical coordination and change control management.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Experience with document control systems such as Aconex or Primavera.
- Knowledge of ITP tools, HSE management systems, and third-party testing platforms.
