Position: Lead Process Engineer (EPF Project)

The Lead Process Engineer is accountable for overseeing all process engineering activities across product line projects, including new‑build facilities, brownfield upgrades, and technical studies. The role ensures that conceptual and detailed engineering deliverables meet project, operational, and quality requirements while guiding a team of process engineers and representing the company as the technical focal point with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as the lead engineer for all process‑related scopes on assigned projects.
  • Manage, guide, and review the work of process engineers to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
  • Drive conceptual design development and ensure alignment with client specifications and project objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation, validation, and approval of process engineering documentation, including simulations, calculations, datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs, and technical reports.
  • Lead the review of ITTs and develop complete technical proposals, including writing technical narratives and alternative solutions.
  • Formulate cost‑effective and fast‑track technical strategies while maintaining compliance with tender requirements.
  • Provide expert input into cost estimation during the proposal phase.
  • Apply and promote best‑practice process solutions ensuring compliance with operational and export specifications.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies or process improvements to enhance operability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering procedures, standards, and templates.
  • Lead the preparation of RFQ packages for process and utility equipment.
  • Evaluate vendor bids, coordinate technical clarifications, and ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Oversee vendor documentation reviews and support package integration activities.
  • Participate in KO meetings, FATs, expediting visits, and vendor facility inspections.
  • Serve as the primary process engineering point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to operational facilities, including remote troubleshooting and site visits.
  • Ensure client expectations are understood and met, including developing remediation or optimization strategies as needed.
  • Ensure all process engineering activities comply with company Quality Management Systems and industry standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and demonstrate adherence to HSE policies and the company’s Safety Rules.
  • Uphold Code of Conduct and Anti‑Bribery standards, raising concerns as needed.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, supporting technical growth and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Encourage collaborative work practices across all engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and multidisciplinary workshops.
  • Ensure accurate use and updating of engineering databases and software tools.
  • Support cross-functional engineering groups to deliver integrated project documentation.
  • Travel locally and internationally for client, vendor, or site requirements.
Key

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in process engineering or proposals engineering within the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong expertise in upstream oilfield processing, separation, and treatment (onshore and offshore).
  • Class‑leading knowledge in gas treatment and processing.
  • Experience with Early Production Facilities and modular process equipment packages.
  • Proven ability to lead process designs from concept through detailed engineering.
  • Strong experience reviewing vendor documentation and integrating process packages.
  • Proficiency in HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, Flare

    SIM, and similar tools.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience managing engineering teams with accountability for output quality and delivery.
  • Familiarity with LPG systems and Pro Max software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (2D/3D), Smart Plant, and data management systems.
  • Pre‑commissioning, commissioning, or operations experience on oilfield process plants.
