Job DescriptionClimate Change is a reality we all face today. As Built Environment professionals we have a key role to play as 40% of the Global Green House Gas emissions is from the construction sector. We believe bold ideas would be required to reimagine the future towards a greener, equitable and sustainable future. In the midst of climate emergency, AECOM’s Building Sustainability Team are seeking a curious individual, with bold ideas, who wants to make a difference in the built environment.

There is an exciting new role within the Building’s Sustainability Team, which has been developed to meet the growing demands of the technical and strategic sustainability consultancy services at the built environment. Sustainability is a cross‑disciplinary field that cuts across key sectors. Depending on your years of experience, curiosity, and skillset you will be sitting within the team with a focus on the following streams:
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of sustainability and green building certification projects across design and construction stages.
- Assist in the development and implementation of certification strategies for LEED, Mostadam, Estidama, and other applicable rating systems.
- Contribute to energy modelling, day lighting analysis, carbon assessments, and other building performance studies, or coordinate inputs with specialist consultants.
- Review architectural, MEP, and materials documentation to assess compliance with sustainability and certification requirements.
- Prepare sustainability reports, scorecards, trackers, and submission‑ready documentation under senior supervision.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to collect required evidence and support certification submissions.
- Support responses to authority, assessor, and reviewer comments.
- Participate in design meetings and workshops, providing sustainability input and tracking actions.
- Communicate technical sustainability requirements clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Good technical understanding of sustainable building design and green building certification systems.
- Ability to apply analytical thinking to sustainability challenges and support technical decision‑making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in technical documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across concurrent projects.
