About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to join our Main Contractor project team for a major construction project in Dubai. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end management and supervision of MEP subcontractors, ensuring successful delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire & Life Safety, and ELV systems in compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), project specifications, and contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will act as the single technical focal point for MEP coordination between the Consultant, Main Contractor, Specialist Subcontractors, and Authorities and ensure the MEP scope is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibility
  • Overall management of MEP works execution on site, acting on behalf of the Main Contractor
  • Lead, supervise, and control MEP subcontractors, including specialist contractors, suppliers, and vendors
Ensure all MEP installations comply with:
  • Dubai Municipality regulations and approvals
  • Dubai Civil Defence Fire & Life Safety requirements
  • Approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications
Coordinate preparation, review, and approval of:
  • MEP design drawings and shop drawings
  • Material submittals and method statement
  • Authority submission packages (DM, DCD, utilities)
  • Plan, monitor, and control MEP construction programs, sequencing works in coordination with civil and architectural activities
  • Review and approve MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and commissioning plans prior to consultant submission
  • Coordinate and attend DM and DCD inspections, ensuring readiness, compliance, and timely closure of comments
  • Expertise with managing MEP interfaces with Architectural, Structural, Interior Design, Façade, and Specialist Systems
  • Monitor MEP progress, productivity, and quality; identify risks and implement corrective actions
  • Knowledge of lead testing, commissioning, and authority approvals, ensuring smooth handover and completion
  • Manage MEP‑related RFIs, variations, and claims, providing technical and commercial inputs
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements related to MEP works on site
  • Prepare and present MEP progress reports to Project Director and senior management
  • Support procurement activities, including evaluation of MEP subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure as‑built documentation, O&M manuals, and handover packages are completed and approved
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP construction management within the UAE
  • Proven experience working with a Main Contractor managing multiple MEP subcontractors
  • Strong background in hospitality, mixed‑use, or high‑rise projects in Dubai
  • Experience on the consultant or PMC side is highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of MEP execution, site logistics, authority processes, and construction sequencing
Extensive experience dealing with
  • Familiarity working with Dubai Municipality inspections and approvals
  • Experience working for Dubai Civil Defence submissions, inspections, and sign‑offs
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and coordination capability across multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Ability to manage complex interfaces and resolve technical conflicts
  • Strong planning, reporting, and decision‑making skills
  • Thorough understanding of FIDIC‑based contracts
  • Problem‑solving mindset with hands‑on site involvement
  • High level of technical and commercial awareness
Preferred (Added Advantage)
  • Experience delivering hospitality projects with complex MEP systems
  • Knowledge of sustainability, energy efficiency, and authority compliance frameworks
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
