Specifications Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Specifications Engineer to join our team in Dubai. This role plays a key part in strengthening Caparol’s presence within the specification community and ensuring our products are approved and specified across major projects in the UAE.

• Study and interpret project specifications, drawings, schedules, and BOQs.
• Prepare compliance statements, technical submittals, and documentation in line with project requirements.
• Price and prepare quotations based on specifications and BOQs for assigned product ranges.
• Coordinate with principals and internal teams for technical clarifications, approvals, and submittals.
• Introduce and promote the Caparol brand to the specification community, including Architects, Interior Designers, Consultants, Specifiers, and Fit-out Contractors.
• Liaise with Government, Federal, and Municipal authorities to secure product approvals across the UAE.
• Conduct technical presentations, seminars, and product demonstrations for consultants and project stakeholders.
• Support the sales team in closing opportunities and generating new business through specification-driven leads.
• Identify and track upcoming projects through market mapping and ensure Caparol products are specified at early stages.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis, including product ranges, pricing, certifications, and technical advantages.
• Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, seminars, and industry events to strengthen market presence and relationships.
• Maintain and regularly update databases for specifiers, approved projects, projects under approval, and completed projects.
• Build and manage strong relationships with clients, ensuring expectations are met and technical support is consistently delivered.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in a specification role within paints, coatings, or related building materials (fresh graduates with strong potential will also be considered).
• Background in construction, engineering, or architecture is essential.
• Experience in product and system tendering, bids, and proposals is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
