About the RoleRole Overview:
Crescent Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex engineering projects from concept through to completion. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial awareness, and client interface, requiring strong leadership, technical judgement, and structured project execution. The successful candidate will bring a disciplined project management approach, strong communication skills, and experience operating in international engineering environments, working with multicultural teams and global clients.
- Lead the end-to-end execution of engineering projects, from early design and planning through fabrication, installation, and handover
- Act as the primary interface between clients, internal engineering teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and execution plans
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring alignment with scope, specifications, and applicable standards
- Monitor progress against programme, cost, and quality targets, taking corrective action where required
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, HSE requirements, and quality management systems
- Manage change control, claims awareness, and commercial impacts in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Provide clear reporting to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities
- Support continuous improvement in project delivery processes and execution methodology
Qualifications & Experience
Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Electrical, or related discipline) from a recognised institution
Proven experience managing engineering projects within industrial, energy, water, or oil & gas environments
Strong exposure to international project standards, structured project management frameworks, and formal documentation practices
Demonstrated ability to lead multicultural teams and engage confidently with clients, consultants, and vendors
Solid understanding of engineering workflows, procurement, fabrication, and site execution
Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience working in or delivering projects across the Middle East or similar international markets
Familiarity with EPC or EPCM project delivery models
Commercial awareness and experience managing cost, variation, and programme risk
Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP or equivalent) is an advantage
