Job Description
The Construction Manager - Electrical is responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing all electrical construction activities across the project. This role ensures that installation works meet project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and timelines. The position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
A. Project Planning & Management- Develop and manage the overall electrical construction plan and schedule.
- Allocate resources including manpower, materials, and equipment effectively.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Ensure timely execution of all electrical works in line with project milestones.
- Oversee day-to-day electrical site operations for LV, MV, ELV, lighting, power distribution, earthing, generators, UPS, and other systems.
- Lead and supervise engineers, supervisors, foremen, and technicians.
- Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to the site team.
- Monitor progress and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with approved drawings, method statements, and industry standards (IEC, DEWA, NFPA, etc.).
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and closeout of NCRs.
- Review material submittals, shop drawings, and test reports.
- Coordinate with client, consultant, internal teams, and subcontractors.
- Attend progress meetings and provide updates on work status.
- Ensure smooth interface between electrical, civil, mechanical, and other disciplines.
- Review procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Verify material compliance with approved submittals.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and specialist contractors.
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards and project safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure corrective actions for unsafe practices.
- Ensure all electrical activities follow risk assessments and method statements.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of all electrical systems.
- Ensure proper documentation such as as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and test reports.
- Support final inspections and successful project handover.
