We are currently recruiting a Production Planning Officer - Aircraft Engine for our client based in Dubai, UAE.
Position Summary:The Production Planning Officer is responsible for orchestrating the entire production planning process in an aerospace/aviation context, ensuring efficient execution, timely delivery, and adherence to quality and safety standards. This role involves comprehensive planning, documentation, resource management, and performance analysis to optimize manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Production Planning & Coordination: Develop, manage, and monitor daily production schedules, ensuring all work is packaged, segregated, and provided to production, with clear visibility of workload progress and material/resource status.
- Technical Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review workpacks for shop floor execution, customize technical documentation (e.g., task cards), and ensure compliance with OEM guidelines, airworthiness regulations, and industry standards.
- Resource & Workflow Management: Review technical documents to identify required tools, materials, and GSE; capture requirements in ERP systems (IFS or similar); attribute man-hours for tasks; and produce detailed man-hour estimates.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Update and publish daily progress reports, monitor open work orders for man-hour/material/work progress, and analyze maintenance data to deliver management insights.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Aeronautical, Avionics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; OR Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License.
- Minimum 5 years in relevant roles, with at least 3 years in Production Planning or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft/engine maintenance, workscoping, and job instruction authoring; proficiency in Technical Documentation and ERP systems; strong analytical skills for maintenance data analysis.
