- Perform daily site inspections of mechanical works including HVAC, chilled water systems, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Verify materials, equipment, and installations against approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Monitor installation quality of equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, ductwork, piping, sprinklers, and BMS components.
- Ensure all mechanical systems are installed in line with relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA) and local authority regulations.
- Witness and document site testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, including pressure tests, airflow measurements, and system balancing.
- Maintain accurate inspection logs, daily reports, NCRs (if needed), and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the contractor, other discipline inspectors, and the site supervision team to resolve site-level issues.
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety procedures and permit-to-work systems, especially during equipment installation and testing phases.
- Support the handover process, including snagging and verification of O&M manuals and as-built documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 6–8 years of site experience, with at least 3 years in large projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection in complex building environments.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and authority requirements (e.g., Civil Defense, Municipality, DM/ADCD).
- Proficient in using site inspection tools and reporting systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore).
- Excellent observation, documentation, and communication skills.
- UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
