The role ensures that all construction alignments, levels, and coordinates are established accurately and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and RTA/DM standards.

Job Duties

  • Review and apply approved IFC drawings, alignment data, and coordinate systems in compliance with RTA and project requirements.
  • Check and verify horizontal and vertical alignments, pipe inverts, tunnel drives, and shaft locations prior to and during construction.
  • Ensure that all setting‑out activities are carried out in accordance with approved method statements and calibration procedures.
  • Conduct as‑built surveys and verify the accuracy of contractors’ as‑built drawings prior to submission.
  • Monitor microtunneling drive alignments and breakthrough coordinates, ensuring compliance with allowable tolerances.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date survey records, field books, and digital data files, ensuring full traceability of survey operations.
  • Coordinate with the contractor and supervision team to resolve survey discrepancies or deviations on‑site.
  • Verify and certify survey results for measurement sheets, interim payments, and progress verification.
  • Participate in pre‑construction and progress meetings to provide input on survey status, site constraints, and required actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE standards during all field operations, particularly in confined‑space and shaft areas.
  • Calibrate and maintain survey instruments (total stations, GPS, digital levels) in accordance with project QA/QC procedures.
  • Provide support during testing, commissioning, and handover stages by verifying final levels and coordinates.

  • Strong understanding of coordinate systems, datum control, and vertical alignment verification.
