The Repair Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing defective or malfunctioning microelectronic products and components. This role requires deep technical expertise in microelectronics, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to restoring products to full functionality. The Repair Engineer collaborates closely with the quality assurance, manufacturing, and R&D teams to ensure continuous improvement and product reliability.
ResponsibilitiesSpecialized in advanced diagnostics and component-level repair of microelectronic products, including PCBs, sensors, and integrated circuits. Experienced in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and precision soldering techniques to isolate faults and restore full product functionality.
Skilled in detailed failure analysis, root cause investigation, and structured testing procedures to ensure accurate defect identification and long‑term corrective solutions.
Proficient in surface‑mount and through‑hole rework, firmware updates, product reassembly, and final functional validation to ensure repaired units meet original quality and performance standards.
Strong contributor to continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to reduce recurring defects and enhance product reliability.
Focused on repair process optimization, technical documentation, spare parts management, and mentoring junior technicians to maintain high technical standards and minimize turnaround time.
Educational Background- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Certifications in microelectronics, PCB design, or repair techniques (e.g., IPC certification) are a plus.
