Marine Engine Technician

We are seeking an experienced Marine Engine Technician responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhaul of marine diesel engines and auxiliary machinery. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise in propulsion systems and compliance with marine safety and class regulations.

• Conduct diagnostic testing on mechanical and electronic engine systems.
• Repair and overhaul turbochargers, fuel injection systems, cylinder heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, and cooling systems.
• Carry out alignment and vibration checks on propulsion systems, gearboxes, and shaft lines.
• Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment including pumps, compressors, generators, and hydraulic systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and service bulletins.
• Prepare detailed inspection and service reports with measurements and repair recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with class society and safety regulations (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, BV, etc.).
• Coordinate with supervisors, planners, and QA/QC teams to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company HSE policies.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in marine diesel engine repair and overhaul.
• Experience working in shipyards, offshore vessels, or marine service workshops.
• Strong knowledge of marine propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery.
• Familiarity with marine safety standards, quality control, and documentation procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
