As Technical Superintendent
, you are the shore-based technical authority for your assigned vessels, responsible for safe, efficient, and economical operation in line with contractual, statutory, and class requirements.

• Full technical management of assigned vessels, including budget ownership and cost control
• Ensure compliance with statutory, class, and regulatory requirements
• Plan and supervise dry dockings, major repairs, and maintenance periods
• Monitor vessel technical KPIs and drive corrective action where required
• Lead breakdown response, incident follow-up, and continuous technical improvement

This is accountability with authority.

• Proven experience as a Technical Superintendent or similar senior technical role
• Strong understanding of vessel maintenance systems, class, and statutory compliance
• Experience managing technical budgets and controlling repair expenditure
• Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving capability
• Clear communicator able to engage effectively with crews, owners, yards, and internal teams

• Chief Engineer background preferred
• Experience across commercial vessels such as bulk carriers, tankers, or offshore support vessels
• Strong dry dock and shipyard supervision experience
• Analytical approach to reliability and performance optimisation

• Not a passive monitoring role
• Not a budget-free position
• Not a back-office function
