We are seeking a professional who has strong FMCG or large‑scale production experience, with a proven hands‑on leadership approach in multicultural environments and a strategic mindset focused on engineering excellence and innovation.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional technical problem‑solving capabilities, the ability to make data‑driven decisions, and a solid track record in process optimization, asset reliability, and sustainability initiatives.

We are particularly interested in professionals who have experience working in high‑volume automated production systems and who can drive continuous improvement through both technology and people development.

Job Purpose

The jobholder is responsible for maintaining all equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of the catering facility. This includes supervising and effectively monitoring junior engineers, overseeing all engineering department operations, and ensuring the continuous functioning of the department within EKFC. The role involves managing tasks related to specialist systems, facilities management, general maintenance, and fire safety, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards to achieve operational excellence and business continuity.

  • Drive adherence to safe working practices and safety legislation to maintain a zero‑incident environment for employees, equipment, and assets.
  • Implement ISO 9001:2015 standards and company policies to achieve consistent compliance with quality benchmarks across all operations.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure accurate diagnosis and resolution to restore operational efficiency.
  • Ensure regular maintenance schedules are adhered to, enhancing equipment reliability and minimizing unscheduled disruptions.
  • Manage tools, spare parts, and inventory to ensure readiness for all repair and maintenance tasks, reducing downtime and operational delays.
  • Oversee junior engineering teams, providing guidance and fostering skill development to build a capable and efficient workforce.
  • Oversee the upkeep of statistical, legal, and financial records to ensure compliance with company requirements and facilitate informed decision‑making.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance work procedures, driving cost efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and measure machine output to ensure continuous performance improvements and alignment with business goals.
  • Maintain effective communication channels within the department and with peers, fostering a cohesive and aligned working environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience Education Qualification
  • A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Certifications in maintenance management, facilities management, or safety standards (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and compliance requirements.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or engineering operations within a manufacturing, catering, or similar industrial setting.
  • Proven track record in managing technical teams and implementing maintenance strategies.
  • Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with managing compliance to safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
Skills
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • In‑depth understanding of preventive and reactive maintenance processes.
  • Familiarity with facilities management, specialist systems, and fire safety protocols.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze equipment performance to optimize output.
  • Strong supervisory skills to effectively manage and develop junior engineering staff.
  • Resource planning and inventory management expertise to minimize downtime.
