MEP Draftsman

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Interpret design specifications, tender drawings, and project requirements provided by engineers and consultants.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE construction standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers and other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure design accuracy.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and consultant/engineer feedback.
• Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and approvals.
• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and material submittals when required.

• Proficient in electrical/Mechanical engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory) Revit/BIM knowledge is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, authority standards (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, ADDC, etc.)
• Ability to interpret and produce detailed, precise technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with engineers, consultants, and site teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in the construction and consultancy industry.
• Proven experience in high end luxury villas, penthouse, high end restaurants and commercial projects.
