Senior Process Engineer; Oil and Gas, EPC, Midstream

Job Summary

Looking for Senior Process Engineer with 10 to 15 years in the oil and gas industry, fluent in process design, process software, and with site experience. Must have strong communication and organization skills, be action-oriented, and willing to embrace new challenges.

• Coordinate and collaborate with process lead/discipline manager to determine project objectives for the process team.
• Provide appropriate process engineering input to design activities undertaken by other inter‑disciplinary engineering within the project team.
• Interface with other disciplines, vendors, and required parties regarding process engineering.
• Ensure that deliverables provided to the project are technically accurate, within scope, budget and schedule, and comply with quality procedures and project plans.
• Provide leadership and mentorship for junior process engineers to help them succeed in their tasks.
• Contribute to the process team to create a good working environment and a strong team spirit.
• Execute feasibility studies, conceptual design, and process studies.
• Develop and assist other process engineers in key design documents such as heat & material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and data sheets.
• Be fluent with process software such as HYSYS, Flare Net, Pro Max, etc.
• Have good knowledge of line hydraulics, line sizing, pumps, control valves, PSV sizing, blowdown, equipment sizing, and related areas.
• Act as representative in technical design reviews (P&, HAZOP, SIL, HAZID) and client and vendor meetings.
• Assist project engineering leads and managers in project design and execution according to contract and client needs.
• Be adept at writing technical reports, scopes of work, and technical queries.
• Recognize problems and discrepancies in work processes, suggest improvements, and request help when needed.

• Comply with company values and QA system.
• Be responsible for designing processes that operate safely and adhere to NOV HSE and quality requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HSE and quality within the project and everyday office environment.

• Responsible for completing tasks and ensuring that process engineering deliverables are within allowable budget and agreed time in the contract.

• Work closely with process lead to align strategic decisions with planning activities.
• Delegate and follow up work assigned to other process engineers.

• Utilize PEM, carry out tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, and communicate, integrate, and cooperate with other disciplines to achieve common goals.

• Familiar with the principles of safe process engineering design.
• Familiar with PEM.

• Execute projects according to PEM.
• Follow up activities within the process group and guide junior process engineers to fulfill process tasks.

• Work closely with process team members and process lead within the project to ensure the quality of process documents and deliveries.
• Maintain good team spirit.

• Strong chemical engineering foundation.
• Extensive experience in the oil & gas Midstream EPC industry.
• Good knowledge of industry standards such as API, Shell DEP, Saudi ARAMCO, ADNOC.
• Good knowledge of package design such as gas treatment, oil treatment, and produced water treatment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in process designs and process software.
• Site experience.
• Additional technical studies and project management experience are an advantage.
• Experience and good knowledge of package designs such as gas dehydration, sweetening units, and crude oil treatment.
