Senior Mechanical Enginer

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in MEP contracts and a background in contracting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with MEP contracts, and delivering high-quality results.

• Manage and lead mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in buildings.
• Ensure compliance with MEP contracts and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on mechanical engineering principles and best practices.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
• Address any issues or discrepancies during the project implementation phase.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations related to mechanical engineering projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience working in MEP contracting with a focus on mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, HVAC systems, and building codes.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering mechanical engineering projects on time and within budget.

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and concepts.
• Extensive experience in managing projects within a contractor or MEP contractor setting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the construction industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound engineering judgments.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for project documentation and client interaction.
• Leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
