The Project Execution Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing installation and application activities at customer sites. This role ensures that all project phases—preparation, execution, and final inspection—are completed safely, on time, and according to technical specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities Project Planning & CoordinationAssess customer needs and technical requirements prior to installation or maintenance activities.
Develop detailed project plans, including scope of work, timeline, resources, and safety requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Engineering, Production, Logistics,...) to prepare materials and equipment for the job site.
Appreciates balance between customer and company interests;
Manage budgets and ensure project costs remain within approved limits.
Manages interfaces for companies, clients and subcontractors;
On-Site Management & ExecutionManage installation, repair, or replacement of refractory linings activities in industrial furnaces, kilns, ladles, or high-temperature equipment.
Manages subcontractors, technicians, and installation teams on site.
Ensure compliance with technical specifications, application procedures, and customer standards.
Troubleshoot on-site issues and provide solutions quickly to avoid delays.
Quality Control & Technical AssuranceConduct inspections during and after installation to verify adherence to safety, quality, and performance criteria.
Document all stages of the process, including measurements, material usage, and deviations.
Perform final acceptance checks with the customer and prepare technical reports.
Identify opportunities for improvement in application techniques and material performance.
Customer Relationship ManagementAct as the main on-site contact for customer technical teams.
Ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication, reliability, and technical expertise.
Present project progress, risks, and outcomes to customer stakeholders.
Provide on-site training or guidance regarding proper maintenance of refractory installations when required.
Safety ComplianceEnforce strict adherence to safety protocols and site regulations.
Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings for the installation crew.
Report incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions.
Perform risk assessments for operations to minimize the likelihood and consequences of incidents and accidents.
Reporting & DocumentationPrepare detailed project reports including timelines, resource usage, performance metrics, and deviations.
Maintain accurate project documentation for internal and customer records.
Provide feedback to R&D and Engineering teams regarding material behavior and potential improvements.
Requirements Educational and Professional Background- Degree in Engineering (Materials, Mechanical, Industrial, Ceramics) or equivalent technical field.
- 10-13 years of experience in refractory installation, industrial maintenance, or on-site project management.
- Experience working in heavy industry or thermal processing environments is highly preferred.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Knowledge of refractory materials, industrial minerals, and high-temperature applications.
- Experience with installation of refractory bricks, monolithic refractories, or mineral linings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, thermal profiles, and engineering specifications.
- Familiarity with industrial facilities such as steel plants, cement kilns, foundries, glass furnaces, or petrochemical units.
- Proficiency in project management tools and on-site supervision methods.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in demanding industrial environments.
- High level of organization, autonomy, and attention to detail.
- Customer-oriented mindset and adaptability.
