Job DescriptionThe Project Engineer – Mechanical (HVAC) is responsible for the execution, supervision, and quality assurance of HVAC works in data center projects. This includes ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements while meeting project schedules and budget targets. The role demands strong technical knowledge of precision cooling systems and mission-critical environments.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and scope for HVAC systems in data centers.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor HVAC installation activities to ensure timely completion.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of precision cooling units, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, ventilation, and ducting.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for technical approvals and material deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, method statements, and relevant safety standards.
- Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues promptly.
- Support value engineering initiatives and implement energy-efficient cooling solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and project progress.
- Assist in preparing reports, work schedules, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with commissioning teams to ensure successful handover to the client.
