Solar Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Solar Engineer to join our dynamic renewable energy team. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV), thermal, and concentrated solar power (CSP) technologies.

You will play a critical role in optimising system performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering sustainable energy solutions tailored to client needs.

• Design, test, and maintain a range of solar energy systems, including PV and thermal systems
• Develop customised solutions based on site assessments and client specifications.
• Manage the installation process from planning to execution, ensuring adherence to industry standards.s
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot operational issues
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure project goals are met
• Stay updated with solar technologies and integrate best practices into designs and operations
• Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and technical standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognised institution
• Certification in Solar Energy Systems (preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of solar PV, thermal, and CSP technologies
• Familiarity with other renewable energy systems is an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong technical and analytical thinking
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, clients, and site personnel
• Confident in delivering presentations and project proposals
