Position OverviewThis Instrumentation & Control Maintenance Engineer role provides technical expertise, supervision, and reliability support for all instrument and control systems across plant operations. The position ensures safe, reliable and efficient performance of critical equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause investigations, shutdown planning and technical support for new projects.

- Supervise installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and modification of instrument and control equipment.
- Review preventive maintenance plans and develop task lists and programmes for instrumentation systems.
- Diagnose issues, conduct root cause failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform residual life assessments for critical instrument and control equipment and propose mitigation steps.
- Advise on chronic technical issues and evaluate needs for major repairs and spare replacements.
- Participate in risk assessments and recommend solutions to address findings.
- Ensure availability of spare parts, raise new stock proposals, issue item change requests and manage spare parts inventory.
- Develop maintenance procedures, method statements and long‑term schedules aligned with shutdown plans.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to optimise manpower usage and control shutdown budgets.
- Provide technical support for new project development, implementation and commissioning activities.
- Prepare and review plant change requests, assess feasibility and coordinate execution.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, industry best practices and safety requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in instrumentation and control maintenance within oil and gas facilities.
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, preventive maintenance and shutdown planning.
- Understanding of instrument and control system life‑cycles, residual life assessments and industry standards.
- Knowledge of spare parts planning, maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
- Ability to coordinate with cross‑functional teams and support project commissioning activities.
- Strong analytical, technical problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Control systems diagnostics and repair.
- Root cause failure analysis.
- Preventive maintenance planning.
- Shutdown and turnaround coordination.
