AutoCAD Draughtsman

Responsibilities

• Prepare telecom and electrical layout drawings, including panels, racks, fiber routing, cabling, power and grounding layouts.
• Develop interconnection diagrams, wiring diagrams and termination details.
• Create and update as-built drawings based on site inputs.
• Support site teams by documenting surveys, equipment layout and cable routing.
• Coordinate with engineering and site teams to ensure drawings match implementation.
• Maintain drawing revisions, documentation registers and version control.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, including FAT, SAT, inspection and project documentation packages.
• Ensure drawings follow company and project drafting standards.
• Maintain organized drawing and documentation records for project handover.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, mandatory.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio or similar diagram tools.
• Good documentation and drawing management skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical or telecom systems is beneficial.
• Ability to interpret engineering inputs and convert them into accurate drawings.
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage revisions efficiently.
• Added advantage:
  Experience in telecom, utility, electrical or infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting FAT / SAT documentation or project documentation packages.
• UAE Driving License.

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Draughtsman responsible for preparing and maintaining technical drawings and project documentation for telecom and electrical infrastructure projects. The role focuses on producing accurate engineering drawings and supporting project teams through efficient documentation and drawing management. Practical understanding of electrical and telecom systems is beneficial, but the primary requirement is strong drafting and documentation capability.
