Project Engineer; Emiratization

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

To implement the project program on site in an organized and cost‑effective manner in accordance with the approved design quality standards and within the agreed timeframe.

• Obtain project drawings, assess material and manpower requirements, and hand over the details to the procurement department after approval.
• Assist in preparing accurate project programmes, clearly indicating time frames and activities involved, and monitor progress against the programme, taking corrective action where required through coordination with the client and various subcontractors.
• Supervise the site regularly, keep the client updated on progress, and address all technical, engineering, and managerial issues, including manpower requirements and drawing changes, in an effective and timely manner.
• Track project milestones and deliverables, check and submit progress reports, complete documentation requirements at defined frequency, analyse results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Maintain accurate record‑keeping of delays and changes, and assist the PQS in preparing claims for variations and time extensions.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC and HSE policies to maintain quality and a safe, healthy workplace.
• Hand over as‑built drawings, manuals, keys, etc., upon project completion, and assist in obtaining the completion certificate from the client.
• Organise site demobilisation, prepare applicable reports, and manage snag lists and defect liability period activities.

• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work.

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4–6 years of experience in the construction industry, including both interiors and civil works, with at least 1–2 years in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of all site operations and experience managing small to mid‑sized commercial value projects.
