MEP Engineer - Joinery & Fit

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer with strong joinery and fit‑out project experience to plan, execute, supervise and handover MEP works for interior fit‑out projects. The role involves coordinating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems with joinery production to ensure alignment with site requirements, client specifications and authority regulations. The ideal candidate must have hands‑on UAE experience in commercial, retail, hospitality or residential fit‑out projects.

• Review MEP drawings, designs and specifications for joinery and interior fit‑out projects.
• Coordinate MEP services with joinery production, site installation teams and subcontractors.
• Prepare load calculations, material take‑offs, BOQ and shop drawings as required.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (DEWA, DCD, DM, etc.).
• Supervise MEP installations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage and low‑voltage services.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation, quality standards and safety compliance.
• Identify design conflicts, raise RFIs and provide technical solutions.
• Schedule and plan MEP work sequences aligned with overall project timelines.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure smooth workflow for timely project delivery.
• Attend client meetings, consultant meetings and site coordination meetings.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for management and clients.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and project handover documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–7 years of UAE experience in joinery / interior fit‑out MEP.
• Strong understanding of MEP design, authority approvals and fit‑out installation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and MEP design software.
• Knowledge of DEWA, DCD, DM and other UAE authority regulations.
• Strong project coordination, problem‑solving and communication skills.
