Electrical Estimation Engineer – MEP

Responsibilities

• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope documents and addenda.
• Perform detailed electrical quantity take‑offs for LV systems.
• Prepare complete electrical cost estimates for materials, labor, tools, preliminaries and overheads.
• Develop rate build‑ups based on UAE market pricing and labor productivity.
• Float RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors and analyze quotations.
• Prepare quotation comparison sheets and recommend best‑value options.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, assumptions, exclusions and clarifications.
• Attend site visits and tender meetings when required.
• Coordinate with procurement, design and operations teams.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization.
• Assist in post‑award handover budget breakdowns, BOEs and assumptions.
• Maintain rate databases, supplier lists and historical cost data.

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 4–7 years of Electrical Estimation/Tendering experience.
• UAE/GCC MEP contracting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical market rates and suppliers.
• Ability to read IFC drawings, SLDs, layouts and specifications.
• Strong MS Excel skills for costing, rate build‑ups and comparisons.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Plan Swift or CostX is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and time‑management skills.
