Planning Engineer – Water Treatment Projects

Position Overview

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating engineering projects to ensure timely and cost‑effective execution. The role requires close coordination with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain project schedules, optimize resource allocation, and mitigate project risks.

• Project Planning & Scheduling: develop detailed project plans and schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar. Define scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables. Identify critical path activities and bottlenecks. Establish baseline schedules and monitor adherence.
• Resource Management: determine manpower, material, equipment requirements; coordinate with procurement and logistics; monitor utilization and recommend adjustments.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting: track progress, prepare periodic reports, dashboards, forecasts, and variance analysis. Identify delays and propose corrective actions; provide performance insights and updates.
• Risk Management:
  
  conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, monitor risks, and implement contingency plans.
• Stakeholder Coordination: coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients; facilitate review meetings; keep communication on status, risks, and schedule changes.
• Documentation & Compliance: maintain schedules, reports, correspondences, and records; ensure compliance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements; submit required documentation to clients and authorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within water treatment, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Familiarity with EPC project environments.
• Knowledge of UAE project standards and industry practices.
