Responsibilities
- To facilitate and formulate Commissioning Mechanical management coordination, administration and strict enforcement of the Construction scope included as part of the FEED EPC Contract, in line with the client’s objective of progressing work order completion timely and according to the project schedule.
- Coordinate the FEED EPC Contractor from construction through commissioning and hand‑over of FEED EPC works.
- Review and provide input to the overall construction installation plan, procedures and installation requirements identified in the EPC packages developed by the FEED contractor to ensure efficient constructability.
- Ensure the construction installation plan, procedures and requirements developed by the EPC contractor comply with the EPC scope of work intent and requirements.
- Coordinate and assist fabrication works at EPC contractor or subcontractor fabrication facilities.
- Supervise, monitor and inspect the work of the EPC contractor and its subcontractors at the construction site or place of manufacture, in accordance with ADNOC Offshore policy for supervision, quality assurance, control and inspection for the project.
- Maintain the EPC contractor’s adherence to safety, quality and schedule requirements for construction.
- Participate in identifying construction slippage and recommend corrective actions to be performed by the EPC contractor.
- Provide construction input to estimates as and when required.
- Review design documents and provide constructability input to designs.
- Undertake visits to facility sites to support the development of construction activities and liaise with EPC contractors or subcontractors.
- Identify specialist vendor support tools and equipment required to implement scope.
- Interface with ADNOC Offshore Operations groups as necessary.
- Take part in site surveys and generate reports where required.
- Formulate civil deliverables in line with project procedures for content and accuracy.
- Assist with construction input to bid preparation and development of construction requirements for bid estimates.
- Have thorough working knowledge and experience of construction completion procedures and pre‑commissioning activities.
- Be involved in effective change management and liaise closely with the ADNOC Offshore PMT team on all aspects of design and technical data.
- Coordinate and carry out timely constructability reviews in line with model progression and ensure constructability readiness reviews are addressed to suit the planned deliverables timing.
- Liaise strongly with the procurement team for materials and equipment deliverables to align to overall project schedules.
- Coordinate with project controls on the progress of work order issuance and proposed completion dates.
- Participate in HSE improvement activities, promoting HSE elements throughout construction development wherever possible.
- Have full working knowledge of construction activities in relation to the relevant discipline.
- Ability to review engineering design drawings and challenge work content for improvements and cost‑effective methodology that can be adopted without compromising safety.
- Challenge engineering detail for possible areas where hot work can be reduced or minimized.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- At least 5 years in a similar role.
- PMC experience on EPC onshore brownfield field production upgradation and modification of existing facilities projects is highly preferable.
