Applications Engineer - Temperature Control

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for preparation of project‑specific designs and supporting technical documentation for inclusion in sales bids, detailed design phases, and operational projects.
• Coordinate engineering input across the team and provide expert technical support across project stakeholders.
• Liaise with client technical staff and visit potential job sites as required to verify project needs.
• Advise the Sales team on project‑specific design issues and propose engineering solutions.
• Design power temperature control packages to suit project needs and maximize use of Aggreko fleet products.
• Prepare professional drawings for ME Engineering such as 3‑Dimensional Drawings, 3D & construction diagrams, schematics, Piping and Instrument Drawings (PID), single‑line diagram and site layouts.
• Perform HVAC heat load calculations, equipment sizing, pressure drop & flow calculations.
• Ensure design complies with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, ANSI, ASME, IEC, local regulations).
• Prepare project for construction mechanical piping bill of materials and engineering documents to meet specific job requirements.
• Give engineering assistance as required to operational projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering Team on design support requirements for the complete project life cycle.

• Minimum of 5 years design experience in MEP, HVAC / Power Generation / Oil & Gas Industry.
• Fluent in English; a second language would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; strong computer design skills.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD and mechanical tools/software such as HAP, Inventor, Solid Works.
• Customer focus: understands the importance of customer needs, whether internal or external, focuses on responding to them and develops relationships.
• Requires travel to project locations for site visits and client meetings.
