Design Engineer; Solidworks - Automobile Industry
Responsibilities
Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of automotive components using Solid Works ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications. Perform design calculations, simulations and analysis, FEA, CFD to validate designs and optimize performance, durability and manufacturability. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams manufacturing, testing, purchasing to ensure design feasibility, cost‑effectiveness and timely project completion. Manage and maintain design documentation including revisions, BOMs and engineering change orders, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
QualificationsPossesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. Demonstrates a minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive design using Solid Works, with a focus on component design. Exhibits a strong understanding of automotive engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials.
