Job Title:
MEP Estimation Engineer – Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical – Electrical – Pre-Contract
Location:
Dubai, UAE
We are seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Estimation Engineers / Quantity Surveyors to join our pre‑contract team in Dubai. The role involves tender review, quantity take‑offs, pricing, vendor coordination, commercial analysis and bid preparation for large scale MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope of work, contract conditions and payment terms.
- Prepare quantity take‑offs, cost estimates and bid submissions for both mechanical and electrical packages.
- Raise RFIs, technical clarifications and review discrepancies in tender documents.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for mechanical and electrical works.
- Evaluate technical and commercial offers and prepare cost comparison statements.
- Support value engineering alternates and pricing recommendations to improve competitiveness.
- Prepare basis of estimate, pricing summaries and commercial submission documents.
- Assist in tender negotiations and final bid strategy with the commercial and procurement teams.
- Maintain historical cost data and use previous project benchmarks for market‑based pricing.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate tender submission.
5 to 6 years of experience and at least 2 in UAE in MEP estimation and quantity surveying.
- Strong pre‑contract tendering background for mechanical and electrical projects.
- Experience in pricing, commercial evaluation and vendor negotiation.
- Knowledge of Dubai UAE construction market and design‑and‑build contracts.
- Proficiency in at least one of CostX, CCS Candy, Plan Swift, AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of estimation methods, quantity take‑off, BOQ analysis and cost control.
- Ability to prepare accurate take‑offs, comparisons and proposal documents.
B Tech / Degree in Electrical or Mechanical.
Additional MEP‑related certifications will be an advantage.
Preferred Background- Experience with villas, towers, townhouses, kitchens, service stations, logistics buildings, and mixed‑use projects.
Familiarity with major UAE projects and contractors is preferred.
