Lab Instructor; Aerospace

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Lab Instructor Aerospace to support undergraduate laboratory courses in the broad area of Mechanical Aerospace Engineering at BITS Pilani Dubai Campus. The incumbent will work closely with faculty members to ensure effective laboratory instruction, smooth lab operations, and an engaging learning environment for students.

• Prepare and conduct undergraduate laboratory sessions in Aerospace, Mechanical, Robotics related subjects.
• Guide and support students during practical sessions, projects, and experiments.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day laboratory operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with faculty members to develop and update lab manuals, experiment procedures, and practical content.
• Maintain laboratory equipment through regular inspection, preventive maintenance, and procurement coordination.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and conduct safety briefings and training.
• Maintain inventory records of consumables, equipment, and lab materials.
• Support departmental initiatives, workshops, and faculty‑led academic activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and records related to laboratory operations.

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Robotics, Production, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines. M.E./M.Tech preferred.
• 12 years of laboratory teaching/academic lab handling experience.
• Strong understanding of laboratory techniques related to Mechanical/Aerospace/Robotics Engineering.
• Knowledge of equipment handling, maintenance, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Team player with a proactive and student‑centric approach.
• Commitment towards continuous improvement and adherence to safety protocols.
