This position reports to the UAE LBL Manager & Sales Manager.
Role DescriptionIn this role, you will have the opportunity to implement the service strategy and drive service growth at the respective unit level. You will lead service and engineering organizations and be responsible for projects, overall engineering, execution, customer satisfaction, first technical point of contact, and achieving performance targets while optimizing the utilization of service resources. The work model for the role is onsite.
This role contributes to Process Automation in UAE.
- Lead automation and electrical projects: design, engineering, documentation and execution
- Execute personally, lead teams and partners to respond to customer service requests and service contracts
- Create and drive implementation of service strategy as a member of the management team
- Ensure that strategic plans are implemented consistently in the service organization through collaboration with other businesses
- Interpret customer specifications, requirements and applications to design/develop/troubleshoot/test/implement appropriate hardware and software solutions for automation/electrical jobs by applying standard design concepts, topologies, protocols, programming tools and libraries
- Create BOQ, support Supply Chain Management for specifications, procurement and delivery
- Drive continuous improvement culture and the implementation of improvements to achieve service excellence and increase profitability in their own area of responsibility
- Willing to travel and lead on-site execution in UAE and Middle East region
- License to Operate / Core Values
- Responsible for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and all other business compliance standards and regulations in their own area of responsibility
- Show personal commitment to HSE by conducting sustainability observation tours consistently
- Collaboration / Leadership: build sustainable customer relationships to drive growth, satisfaction and retention, and support sales resources in customer meetings
- Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect reports
- Improve service availability, provide training, and develop capabilities and competencies
The Role
- Excellent ABB products awareness
- 7-10 years on 800xA with AC800M is a must
- Experience with ABB Minerals Library BMI & PP Library
- Experience with other ABB systems (Advant, Freelance and AC500) as well as 3rd party systems (FLS, Siemens, Allen-Bradley) is an additional benefit
- Long experience in Industrial Automation and electrical upgrades, retrofits especially in cement, mining and metals
- Expertise in industry standard protocols such as Modbus, Profibus & OPC
- English is a must;
Arabic language is a plus
