This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Draftsman role based in Dubai. The Mechanical Draftsman will prepare and update detailed mechanical drawings and layouts for E&M systems in accordance with project specifications, engineering calculations, and local codes. Daily tasks include developing and modifying CAD models, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and ensuring drawing accuracy and consistency across project documentation. The role involves reviewing design changes, incorporating markups, maintaining drawing registers, and preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
The Mechanical Draftsman will also collaborate with other disciplines, assist in clash detection and design coordination, and support the timely delivery of drawing packages.
- Strong proficiency in Mechanical Drawings, Engineering Drawings, and Technical Drawing, with the ability to interpret and develop detailed layouts and sections.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for mechanical and E&M drafting, including 2D and preferably 3D environments.
- Understanding of Design Engineering principles as they apply to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, or other mechanical building services.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with BIM processes and coordination workflows is an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant international and local codes and standards used in building services design.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
