Responsibilities
- Assess and choose materials, suppliers, and manufacturing techniques for chassis components.
- Resolve technical challenges pertaining to chassis design and performance.
- Keep abreast of automotive chassis design trends, advancements, and regulations.
- Aid in prototype and production builds, including testing and validating chassis systems.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and cost efficiency of chassis components.
- Offer technical support to team members and other departments as required.
- Develop automotive chassis components and systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct structural analysis and simulations to enhance chassis performance and durability.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate chassis systems with other vehicle components.
- Organize design evaluations and create engineering documents, including drawings, specs, and test strategies.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive chassis design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and simulation tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Fluent in English; additional languages preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Skilled in CAD software such as Solid Works or CATIA.
- In-depth understanding of chassis design principles and industry norms.
