Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Protection Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in estimating fire protection systems for commercial and industrial projects, with a solid understanding of relevant codes and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:Interpret and analyze 2D technical drawings in AutoCAD or PDF format.
Prepare accurate estimates for fire protection systems including:
- Sprinkler systems
- Firefighting systems
- FM200 suppression systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Voice evacuation and emergency lighting systems
Ensure all designs and estimations align with NFPA standards and UAE Fire and Life Safety Codes.
Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings for clarity and completeness.
Communicate directly with clients to clarify missing or unclear details in tender inputs.
Coordinate with internal design and technical teams to develop competitive and compliant quotations.
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for materials, equipment, and installation labor.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Fire Protection Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in estimating fire protection systems, preferably within the commercial or industrial sector.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant estimation software
- Strong understanding of fire protection systems and associated components
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes and UAE Civil Defense requirements
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications accurately
- Effective communication and coordination skills
