Smart Technical Lead

We are looking for a Smart City Technical Lead to join our team in Abu Dhabi.

• Craft a comprehensive smart city platform architecture, considering various interconnected systems, data flows, and integration points between different smart city applications.
• Evaluate and choose appropriate technologies (sensors, IoT platforms, data analytics tools, cloud services) based on specific smart city use cases and requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical smart city use cases such as traffic optimization, energy consumption monitoring, public safety alerts, and design tailored solutions.
• Develop data management frameworks to collect, store, analyze, and visualize large volumes of real‑time data from various sensors and sources.
• Ensure seamless integration of different smart city components and applications, including legacy systems, into a unified platform.
• Design robust security measures to protect sensitive data within the smart city infrastructure and comply with privacy regulations.
• Oversee the integration of different smart city systems, including but not limited to access control, BMS, traffic management, energy grids, public lighting, and environmental monitoring.
• Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, including city officials, project managers, and end‑users.
• Provide technical input on project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for smart city implementations.
• Manage technical team on site and assign resources based on activities needed.

• Deep understanding of IoT technologies, data analytics, big data platforms, AI/ML principles.
• Familiarity with smart city concepts, city challenges, and potential applications of smart city technologies.
• Ability to design complex distributed systems, considering integration, scalability, performance, and resilience.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills to identify challenges, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose innovative solutions.
• Proven experience as a solution architect in the IoT & smart cities domain with 10+ years of experience.
